LEVATOR FUNCTION TEST


1- Introduction                                                                            

2- Consent                                                                                    

3- Explain the procedure                                                           

4- Ask the patient to look down as far as possible              

5- Put edge of the ruler on lower margin of the upper lid in middle                                                                                  

6- Press firmly against the frontalis muscle on forehead (eyebrow)

7- Ask the patient to look upward maximally without moving his head                                                                     

8- Measure the amount of lid excursion. This is levator function                                                                                    

9- Thanks to patient
